Hi fellow stampers! Now that the Heart of Christmas blog hop is over for this year I’ve jumped back into the weekly Colour Creations blog hops on Wednesday nights.
For this blog hop the team showcases a different Stampin’ Up! colour each week and for this week it is Mint Macaron. As we head into the summer and holiday season in Australia I used this theme as an inspiration for my card. I have used the In the Tropics die set to die cut the pineapple pieces and the flowers.
The Basic White card stock base has been layered with a Hand Penned DSP panel where I have run my scissors along the edges for a rustic look. The next layer is Vellum card stock with a Paper Lattice where the middle has been cut off and adhered using fine tip TomBow glue. I saved that bit to use on another card.
The pineapple leaves are die cut from Mint Macaron card stock while the base is from the Pansy Petals DSP. I did add a layer of the Adhesive sheet to the DSP because of the intricate die cuts. The flowers were die cut from the same DSP and Polished Pink card stock. Also I have added some Gold Gilded Gems to the flower centres.
Lastly the sentiment is from Sweet As A Peach stamp set and stamped in Mint Macaron ink. I have used a scalloped edged die from Scalloped Contours die set to cut out the sentiment. With a needle and some Linen thread I have threaded through the holes of the label to tie in with the lattice.
Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more inspiration from the next participant, the very talented Caroline Manwaring.
