Colour Creations Pretty Peacock - Week 42

Hello fellow crafters! This week I am participating in the 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Pretty Peacock, a beautiful regal blue-green colour. I love this colour and so glad to see it back in the permanent Stampin’ Up! Colour Family.

One of my faves in the Jan-April Mini catalogue is the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More card pack. It contains several double-sided cards and stickers that can be used to make cards, scrapbooking or even journaling.
There are also coordinating card bases and envelopes to go with the card pack.

The card is a bi-fold card, where the front panel is scored at the halfway mark. For my Pretty Peacock card base I stamped the daisy flowers on the front and inner using VersaMark ink and heat embossed with White embossing powder. The daisy stamp is from the Lifetime of Love set.

I have die cut some decorative panels from Calypso Coral card stock using the Thoughtful Expressions die set. Using the next smallest die I also die cut some of the printed cards from the Sweetest Thoughts Memories and More card pack. The first was adhered with dimensionals on the front panel and the second adhered with double-sided tear tape.

The thin floral embellishment was die cut from Lemon Lolly card stock using the floral dies in the same die set (including the flower centre). To finish the card I adhered some floral stickers also found in the card pack.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find

Colour Creations Petal Pink - Week 39

Hello fellow crafters! This week I am participating in the 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Petal Pink, an orange-pink colour that has been around for quite awhile! It may not be a true pink but still a popular choice judging by its use in the range of Designer Specialty Papers.

The focus this week is the very cute Bee Mine DSP. With any DSP you can usually find coordinating stamp and die bundle - this one is called Bee My Valentine! I don’t have the bundle (yet) but I do have the DSP to play with.

I started with a Petal Pink die cut Deckled Circle layered with another slightly smaller DSP die cut circle. The base circle was scored in half and the DSP circle was cut in half. These dies will carryover to the new 2024-25 Annual catalogue available from May this year.

Next I die cut two more circles, 1 DSP and 1 embossed using the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder. Before adhering the smaller circles I adhered some Petal Pink ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo. Not forgetting a little bow too!

The cute little bumblebees were fussy cut from the DSP and adhered with dimensionals.

The card ‘front’ when opened up.

The reverse and card inner. I decided to use the card to give to my husband for our wedding anniversary today! And so stamped the sentiment from the Everlasting Beauty stamp set using Sweet Sorbet ink with the addition of another bumblebee.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Petal Pink inspiration from the very talented Theresa Gerrard.
