CCBH Old Olive - Week 32

Hi everyone and thanks for joining another week of the Colour Creations blog hop where we showcase a different Stampin’ Up! colour each week and for tonight it is Old Olive.

For my card base I have used Old Olive card stock layered with a panel that has been run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the Stitched Greenery die resulting in a beautifully stitched panel of leaves.

I have used a circle die cut from the Layering Circles die set that was stamped using a ‘splatter’ stamp in Old Olive ink. This stamp can be found in the new Lucky You stamp set.
This stamp makes ‘splattering’ easier for me as I don’t seem to have the right touch when doing it freehand lol. The circle layer was then dry embossed with the Timeworn Type EF.

I have used greenery die cut from the Plentiful Plants die set and Beauty of the Earth DSP which has Old Olive tones in the patterned paper. The pot plant has been die cut from the In Good Taste DSP.

The sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set is stamped in Old Olive ink. I have fussy cut the word and adhered with dimensionals and then added a bow using Linen Thread. And one last thing I have added is another new item Faux Sea Glass shapes. You can just see them on the top right of the photo above. I just love the look of these and had to use it in a card.

The greeting on the inside is from the Dahlia Days stamp set from the new mini catalogue.

CCBH Night of Navy - Week 31

Hello fellow stampers! Welcome to this weeks Colour Creations blog hop for the Art With Heart team where our feature colour is Night of Navy. This colour I feel needs no introduction 😉!

The stamp set used is from the newly released January - June mini catalogue and it is called Lucky You. It has a number of sentiments on an inky background which can be used on its own as I have done or you could combine it with the Abstract Beauty Suite too.

The sentiment for each card has been stamped with Night of Navy ink onto Basic White and Petal Pink and then die cut using a circle die from the Layering Circles die set.

The first card has a Basic White mat embossed using the Gingham EF from the mini and adhered to Night of Navy card stock base.

The centre Paper lattice is leftover from a recent ‘Pineapple’ card project where I used the outside to create a frame and now using the inner panel in this card. As the panel was a Kraft colour to tie in with our feature colour I gently used a Blending brush and Night of Navy ink and blended ink onto the paper lattice.

I placed the lattice onto a piece of Basic White card stock and then used as a mask by blending on top without moving to create the pattern underneath to use on my second card. The lattice was adhered to the embossed layer with TomBow glue.

Now to put together the sentiment layer which is made up of die cut Layering circles in varying sizes of Gold Foil and Magenta Madness card stock. Before adhering the layers with dimensionals to the card I have adhered some Simply Elegant gold trim to the back.

The little hearts were stamped from the same set as the sentiment in Magenta Madness ink, fussy cut and glued down. Additional Gilded Gems finished off the card.

The inside sentiment stamped in Night of Navy ink is from the new Sale-A-Bration freebie stamp and DSP bundle Friendly Hello.

In my second card I have used Petal Pink card base and added a layer from Sweet Symmetry DSP. Next the blended masked lattice was first adhered to Night of Navy card stock and then adhered with dimensionals to the DSP layer.

The sentiment circle layers have been put together in the same way as previously using Basic White and Night of Navy card stock and adhered with dimensionals.

The remaining die cut elements are from Forever Flourishing and Artistic die sets in Night of Navy, Basic White and Petal Pink card stock.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more inspiration from the next participant, the very talented Christine Blain.

CCBH Mossy Meadow - Week 30

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone joining tonight! May 2022 bring much hope, happiness, good health and crafting fun. Thank you for joining the first Colour Creations blog hop for the Art With Heart team in 2022. This weeks colour is Mossy Meadow a dark mossy green from the Neutrals colour family.

The start of the new year always coincides with a new Stampin’ Up! January - June mini catalogue and being a demonstrator we get to pre-order and play with some of the gorgeous new products. These items from the Mini catalogue are now available from 4th January until 30th June 2022.

And more exciting news on top of the new catalogue is that you have the opportunity to earn FREE products with a qualifying purchase as part of the Sale-a-bration promotion. So stocking up on supplies during this period is always a good idea 🙂!

The new stamp set used this week is Dahlia Days and it comes in a bundle with matching dies - Dahlia Days bundle.

I started by creating my own DSP using the larger Dahlia stamp in Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Pale Papaya inks. The dahlia flower detail is just exquisite in this set and it also has some inspirational sentiments too. The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and the smaller leafy twig in Soft Succulent ink. The smaller floral bouquet is stamped in Bumble Bee ink.

For my first card I have used a 5 inch x 5 inch square card base in Basic White card stock. Before adhering the inked DSP I wrapped some Simply Elegant gold trim three times and then adhered with dimensionals to the base to add dimension.

The inspirational sentiment is stamped with VersaMark onto Mossy Meadow card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. It was then die cut with a small scalloped edge die from Stitched So Sweetly die set.

On my second card the inked DSP has been mounted onto a die cut layer in Mossy Meadow using the Ornate Layers die set. This is then adhered to a Basic White card stock base with dimensionals.

The sentiment is also stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I have die cut the sentiment using the small rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles die set and added the newly retired White Glittered Organdy ribbon before adhering the sentiment with dimensionals. To finish off I have added some Opal Rounds to the background.

The inked DSP on my third card is die cut using the largest scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours die set and adhered to a Mossy Meadow card stock base.

The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut with the banner die from Tasteful Labels die set. The sentiment is adhered to the just retired Whimsy & Wonder DSP. I have also added an Opal Round to the bottom of the banner.
