Stampin’ Up! So Saffron – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 48

Hello everyone! I hope that some of you got to enjoy Mother's Day with your loved ones last weekend. I did get a lovely homemade breakfast of poached egg on toast with spinach, herbs and mini Roma tomatoes (my fave) but spent the day quietly recovering from a head cold.

Feeling much better now and would love to welcome you to another week of the Colour Creations Showcase where this week we look at So Saffron. This is a soft yellow from the Subtles colour family.

The card created this week is fairly quick and simple where I have used layers of different DSP in So Saffron, Basic Black and Basic White. Three layers in different widths adhered to the card stock base. The DSP include Subtles 2021-22 Assortment and True Love. When I saw the True Love DSP with the daisy print it inspired me to add the daisies made from Pierced Blooms dies. Each daisy is comprised of two petal shapes and the flower centre all adhered with glue dots.

Last week I had received some of my Stampin' Up! order with items from the new annual catalogue and so wanted to work with the Simply Elegant Suite. The greeting is from the Elegantly Said stamp set in this suite and has been stamped in VersaMark on Basic Black and then heat embossed with White embossing powder. The greeting was then punched out with the Elegant Tag punch and adhered with dimensionals to the DSP layer. I can't wait to play with the rest of the suite especially with the gorgeous and very elegant DSP!

Just wanted to show the inside of the card where I have added thin layers of the same DSP but this time I have coloured some of the daisies with the So Saffron Stampin' Blends.

Thank you so much for stopping by this week and for more inspiration from the other lovely ladies you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead, stay healthy and happy!

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Spray – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 45

Hello to everyone who may have come across from Cathy's blog for this weeks AWH Colour Creations Showcase and design inspirations using Seaside Spray. This is a retiring 2019-2021 In Colour that is pale blue and one of my favourites so I will definitely miss it when it goes.

I have made two cards to showcase the use of stamps and dies from the Friends are like seashells bundle. This bundle is available now in the January-June mini catalogue and will also carry over to the new Stampin' Up 2021-22 Annual Catalogue.

The first card uses the Sand & Sea DSP where one layer has been torn across to create the 'sandy' layer that meets the Seaside Spray blue 'waters'. I have stamped the different beach items using Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Seaside Spray inks and either stamping or blending ink colours over them. The shells, coral and starfish were layered and adhered using dimensionals on top. Behind the starfish I have tied the Polka Dot ribbon with Linen Thread to add some texture too.

The sentiment is again from the same stamp set inked in Seaside Spray with sand grains inked in Sahara Sand. Lastly I have added some Opal Rounds and what a bonus these will also carry over to the new annual catalogue.

My second card showcases some more of the Sand & Sea DSP which have been punched out using the Rectangular Postage Stamp punch

This is a quick and simple card that only uses the punch, the Pinewood Planks embossing folder (unfortunately retiring but you may get in quick to purchase in the Last Chance Products Sale!) and another stamped sentiment from the set used in the first card. It has quite a few versatile sentiments for birthday and friendship. Again I have added some Linen Thread and Opal Rounds to add texture and sparkle!

I hope you've enjoyed this weeks cards and for more inspiration from the other lovely ladies you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Thanks for stopping by and until next time please take care and may you spend some quality time doing what you love!

Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 42

Hello everyone hope it's been a great week and notably a short week as we head into the Easter break. How fast has this year gone!!! This week I am using Rococo Rose for the Colour Creations Showcase. Rococo Rose is part of the 2019-21 In Colours and will be retiring in June when the current Stampin' Up! annual catalogue finishes. A dusky pink that is very versatile and coordinates nicely with other colours in their range.

This week I have used the stamps, dies and embossing folder from the Sand and Sea suite which I couldn't wait to play with as it is just gorgeous! So my card base is Rococo Rose overlaid with a piece of Pearlescent Specialty paper which I coloured using Rococo Rose ink and the new blending brushes in the Mini catalogue to give it a pale pink sheen...just beautiful. Once dried (it didn't take long), I used the large die comprised of various shells and seaweed to cut the shape and then emboss using the matching embossing folder in this suite.

The effect is stunning with the raised patterns on the shells and seaweed. Behind this I placed a circle cut from the Stitched Shapes dies in Whisper White and stamped the bubbles in Crumb Cake. The birthday greeting was stamped in Rococo Rose ink onto Blushing Bride card stock and cut using the die from Tasteful Labels set.

Behind the greeting I have added some Linen thread which has been plaited to give it a rope-like effect. And then popped some Opal Rounds to the card base to provide a little bling. The card has also been stamped on the inside with another greeting and the pretty shells in Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride, and the starfish in Crumb Cake inks.

Stampin’ Up! Purple Posy – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 39

Hello everyone, I'm back for another week for the Art With Heart Teams Colour Creations Showcase using Purple Posy. This colour is such a lovely soft purple/lilac and so feminine so I really love it. The cardstock is available but Stampin' Up! have decided not to produce the ink colour due to it not meeting their quality standards. Purple Posy goes very nicely with the another shade of purple which is Highland Heather and that I have used for my card today.

For this card the base card is Purple Posy, layered with Old Olive and then  Hydrangea Hill DSP.  It has some lovely colours including the purple tones as well as soft blues. The hydrangea flower posy was also fussy cut from this DSP and I have added leaves using dies from the Forever Fern and Magnolia Memory bundles in Highland Heather and Old Olive cardstock.

The birthday greeting is from the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle, which I can't wait to play with next (hopefully!), and stamped in Highland Heather ink colour. It was then cut using a die from Tasteful Labels set. That stamp set and the Hydrangea Hill DSP are both found in the January - June Mini Catalogue.

To finish I added some Gorgeous Grape Sheer ribbon tied with Whisper White Twine which are both found in the Mini Catalogue.  I have also added some Opal Rounds to the card for some sparkle as these have opalescent glitter through them.

Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 38

Hi everyone I'm back for another week joining the AWH Colour Creations showcase and this week our chosen colour is Pumpkin Pie. As the name suggests it is similar in colour to pumpkin flesh! I always thought it was a dull orange but working with it this week the colour is brighter and can also be used in a citrus theme.

As we head into Autumn in the Southern hemisphere I have used this as a colour combo inspiration for my first card. The long slimline card base in Whisper White measures 21cm x 10.5cm folded and will fit into a business size envelope. The ink colours I have used are Pumpkin Pie, Bumble Bee and Cinnamon Cider to stamp the leaves onto Whisper White and are from the Forever Fern stamp set in the Annual Catalogue, definitely a firm favourite!

The birthday greeting is from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set and stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink on Whisper White card stock and then mounted onto Pumpkin Pie card stock. I have then mounted this onto a black and white piece of True Love DSP just to offset the muted Autumn colours. Another strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock is adhered behind this, placed onto dimensionals and layered onto the stamped card and Pumpkin Pie card stock base. I wanted to keep the card pretty basic to include just simple stamping with a greeting attached.

And as the Northern hemisphere heads into Spring, I wanted to show the use of Pumpkin Pie in a more brighter colour combination with my second card. So I have used Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight colours.

The stamp set used is Cute Fruit for both the fruit images and the sentiment. Some of the fruit was stamped onto a square Whisper White cardstock and others were fussy cut. This was adhered to a Pumpkin Pie card stock that was cut using a perforated square die cut from the Snail Dies.

And the sentiment stamped and cut into pieces and along with the other bits, were adhered with dimensionals to a piece of Oh So Ombre DSP from the Sale-a-bration promotion that had just finished last weekend. So if you were lucky enough to obtain the free item I'm sure that you will be able to use this paper in many ways.

For more inspiration on this week's colour showcase you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Hoping you all have a great week ahead and I'm looking forward to slightly cooler and lovely Autumn weather,  enjoying a cuppa and more crafting time!

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 37

This week I am super excited to join the Art With Heart Colour Creations showcase for the first time!  This is a weekly event that allows various team members the opportunity to show their stunning creations using a nominated Stampin' Up! colour for that week. And this week it is: Pretty Peacock.

I have made 2 cards and a notecard to showcase the A Touch of Ink photopolymer stamp set. This set is FREE with a qualifying purchase as part of Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration promotion. But you better be quick as the promotion will end on 28 February 2021 - so only a few days left!

For my first card, the inks used are Pretty Peacock for the butterfly and sentiment and Calypso Coral for the flower petals stamped on Whisper White cardstock.  Momento black ink has been used to outline the butterfly, flowers and leaves.

The base cardstock is Calypso Coral to which I have adhered a layer from the Fine Art Floral DSP that has a painted brushstroke effect. This gorgeous DSP can be found in the current January - June Mini Catalogue.

The next 2 layers have been cut using Stitched So Sweetly dies in Pretty Peacock and Whisper White cardstock. I have fussy cut the floral stem and leaves and layered this on top, finishing with some Gilded Gems on the butterfly wings.

And here is the inside of the card....

The second card features the stamped butterfly that has been die cut using the Tasteful Labels set which is a very versatile set with different shaped labels and sizes.

I have also stamped the background in Smoky Slate ink. The butterfly label is layered on Pretty Peacock cardstock where I have cut the ends to create a banner and then embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

The next layer is from the Forever Greenery DSP adhered to Pretty Peacock and then Whisper White card bases. I have stamped the greeting with VersaMark on black cardstock sprinkled with White Stampin' emboss powder and heat embossed.

To finish I have added the trim from Forever Greenery combo pack in both Vanilla and Gold and adhered using the Mini Glue dots.

For more inspiration on this week's colour showcase you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Thanks again for visiting and hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

True Love DSP by Stampin' Up!

Hi everyone, this week I am showcasing the lovely True Love Designer Series Paper featuring black and white prints and patterns that can be coloured in any way you choose or just left as is.

I have fussy cut the flowers from the DSP and coloured them in using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in light and dark colours of Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. The highlights have been added using the blending pen. You could also use the new Stampin' Up! blending brushes from the new January-June Mini Catalogue, to add colour to floral prints or patterned backgrounds of this DSP.

The card base is Smoky Slate and layered with the reverse side from the same True Love DSP. I have added a 'frame' cutout using both the Stitched So Sweetly and Stitched Rectangles die sets in Poppy Parade cardstock and adhered to the base with dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped with matching ink and die cut from the Floral Art bundle.  To finish off I have tied some Linen thread with bow to the frame.

If you like any of the products featured today you can purchase them through my online store or via Stampin' Up! website and enter my name in the Find a Demonstrator search box. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the week!

Pretty Art Gallery bundle by Stampin' Up!

Hi all I am continuing on with the showcase of the Stampin' Up! January-June mini catalogue using the Art Gallery stamps and die cut bundle. The DSP in this range are also quite colourful especially if you are a 'floral' person like me and this bundle combines my two loves - art and flowers.

Here I have created an upright Z-fold card to create a bit of interest. The flowers were stamped in various colours: Bumblee Bee, Blackberry Bliss and Rococco Rose combinations. The greeting was stamped with VersaMark on Mossy Meadow cardstock with white embossing powder and then heat set. This greeting is from the A Touch of Ink photopolymer stamp set which is a FREE Level 2 product when you spend $180 or more.

In the second card I wanted to show some of the gorgeous Fine Art Floral DSP.  The sentiment is also from this suite including the pretty gold ribbon tied with white twine form the Snail Mail suite shown in a previous post.

Also, I have only used the word 'just' which is die cut using Whisper White cardstock. The whole greeting is 'just want to say' and you can add this to a variety of sentiments in the Art Gallery die set.

Colours stamped in the first card were taken from the DSP in the second card to show how you can match and use the same colour combinations in different ways.

Happy crafting until next time
