Hello fellow stampers! We’re into April and Week 43 for the Colour Creations blog hop where the lovely crafters in the Art With Heart team showcase projects using a different Stampin’ Up! colour each week. This week it is Smoky Slate. The lightest and softest grey in the Neutrals colour family.
This week’s card is a bi-fold card using the Symbols of Fortune DSP and Gold foil specialty paper. I cut panels from both and layered onto the front of the card. The DSP has beautiful prints on one side in Basic White, Smoky Slate and Gold foil. The other side of the DSP contains other colours and prints in Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral and Evening Evergreen.
The other element on the card is the circle panel that has been die cut using Layering Circles die set in Gold foil and DSP featuring a crane from the January to June mini catalogue.
Some Gold Shimmer ribbon was first adhered to the left front panel and back of the card before adhering the circle panel using dimensionals. I also added some mini Brass Butterflies to this panel.
The sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped with VersaMark onto Smoky Slate card stock and embossed with gold powder. I have used the smaller circle die and adhered with dimensionals to the card front.
To the inside of the card I adhered additional DSP panels and a Basic White scalloped panel die cut using Simply Contours die set.
The sentiment is stamped in Smoky Slate ink and is from the Celebrate You stamp set also in the mini catalogue but will carryover to the new 2022-23 annual catalogue. Yay I’m happy about that!
I have also decorated the envelope with more of the DSP to match the card.
Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more inspiration from the next participant the very talented, Diane Furniss.
