Heart of Christmas 2022 - Week 17

Hi fellow stampers! Welcome everyone to Week 17 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop. I’m hopping along with fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators on the Art With Heart team to showcase some wonderful Christmas projects every week until the end of November. That’s another 5 weeks to go!

This weeks featured stamp set is found in the Window Wishes bundle. The matching dies to the miniature houses and evergreen trees are adorable and help create lovely village scenes.

To my Sahara Sand card base I adhered a layer from the Host Celebrate Everything DSP pack. The bright and bold papers can be used for just about any occasion including Christmas. Next I die cut a rectangle layer using the Deckled Rectangles die set and embossed this with the Whimsical Trees EF.

The die cut houses are built using two pieces - the roof and the building, so that you can mix and match any colours to suit your design. I have stamped the roof using Shaded Spruce ink on Sahara Sand card stock and also stamped the buildings in VersaMark and heat embossed with White embossing powder.

The various fir trees were die cut from Evening Evergreen Glimmer specialty paper and adhered with dimensionals together with the houses. The sentiment is stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and die cut using a Fabulous Frames die.

The sentiment inside the card is from the Brightest Glow stamp set and stamped using Shaded Spruce ink onto Basic White card stock. This was die cut with a Deckled Rectangle die. I adhered the rectangle to a DSP layer and the card base.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration, our very generous and talented hostess Sharon Davern.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week ahead everyone!

Colour Creations - Granny Apple Green - Week 24

Hi fellow stampers! Welcome to Week 24 of the Colour Creations blog hop where members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. Tonight’s colour is Granny Apple Green. Part of the Brights Collection it certainly is a ‘happy’ and bright green.

To showcase this colour I have used the super cute stamp set Happy Hedgehogs. The various images have been stamped with Black Memento ink onto Basic White card stock. There are no matching dies for the images but there is a punch for the hedgehog!

I have used various Stampin’ Up! Blends such as D/L Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Polished Pink, Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Light Crumb Cake and Bronze. The highlights were achieved using the Colour Lifter. I really enjoyed colouring the different images and found it very relaxing.

I fussy cut the ones I needed. Before arranging the scene I adhered a Basic White layer to the Granny Apple Green mat. The second  tree and grassy bits were already stamped and coloured. I then arranged the scene and left some room for the sentiment on the right hand side.

The oval die cut frame is from the Fabulous Frames die set and was adhered with dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink within the frame.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Granny Apple Green inspiration from the next participant, the very talented and lovely Cathy Proctor.

Heart of Christmas 2022 - Week 15

Hi fellow stampers! Welcome everyone to Week 15 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop. I’m hopping along with fellow demonstrators on the Art With Heart team to showcase some wonderful Christmas projects every week until the end of November.

It seems I am continuing a bit of a ‘blue’ theme for this week too! I’ll try to be back to using other colour combinations next week. This card has minimal stamping - only for the sentiment and scarf on the deer. The card base is Balmy Blue card stock that was dry embossed using the Wintry 3D embossing folder.

The deer (or moose) and little bird was fussy cut from the Storybook Gnomes DSP which I had lying around from a previous project. I’ve stamped the scarf using Balmy Blue ink and the stamp is from the Snowman Magic stamp set. The strip of snowflake print DSP is also from Storybook Gnomes DSP.

The other die cut elements include the trees also from the Snowman Magic die set and the largest scalloped circle in the Layering Circles die set.

The sentiment is stamped with Balmy Blue ink and then die cut using the label die from Labels Aglow die set. To finish off I adhered some white snowflakes die cut using the Snowman dies and adhered with Multipurpose Glue. I also added some adhesive backed sequins and 2022-24 In Colour Matte Decorative Dots.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration, our very generous and talented hostess Sharon Davern.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week ahead everyone!

Colour Creations - Gorgeous Grape Week 23

Hi fellow stampers! Welcome to Week 23 of the Colour Creations blog hop where members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. Tonight’s colour is Gorgeous Grape. The darkest purple in the Stampin’ Up! and found in the Brights colour family.

Recently I purchased the Bouquet of Thanks single stamp from the 2022-23 Annual catalogue. I think it’s a very lovely floral bouquet that can be used in a vintage look card by stamping on Crumb Cake card stock or using rich or softer floral colours.

In tonight’s card I decided to use Gorgeous Grape ink and a water painter to brush the purple onto the larger flowers. The image was stamped with Memento Black ink onto Shimmery White card stock. The leaves have been done the same using Pear Pizzazz and the tiny flowers with Fresh Freesia, although hard to see that bit!

A second image was stamped and the sentiment was fussy cut and coloured with Dark Crumb Cake blends. I have used the Colour Lifter to add highlights to the banner. I adhered the banner with dimensionals onto the card front. The coloured image was die cut using the Deckled rectangles die set and adhered to another deckled rectangle mat of Gorgeous Grape card stock.

Some Glossy Dots Assortment in Gorgeous Grape were also adhered to the front. The DSP layer used is from Hues of Happiness DSP and I have wrapped some Natural Woven Ribbon around this before adhering to the Gorgeous Grape card base. Lastly I added some Wink of Stella to the sentiment and large flowers.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Gorgeous Grape inspiration from the next participant, the very talented and lovely Christine Blain.
