This week I have created two cards to start building my stash of Christmas cards using the Joy of Noel stamp and die bundle.
The fabulous thing about this set is stamping the ‘NOEL’ letters and then using the die to give you individual letters…saves time! In this case I just used the die cut letters from the Distressed Gold specialty paper and adhered a dimensional sheet making it easier to adhere them to the Basic White mat and card base.
The sprig of Holly and other greenery was stamped with Memento Black and coloured with Stampin’ Blends in L&D Real Red, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce.
Some die cut pine leaves in Shaded Spruce was also adhered to the sprig along with a double bow tied using the Gold Elegant trim and Gold and Vanilla satin ribbon. Some Gold Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins and red Festive Pearls were adhered to the card front.
For my second card I’ve stamped and coloured a second Holly sprig and some extra leaves. This time I have used a DSP mat to which an embossed layer using the Timeworn Type EF has been adhered.
The sentiment from the Joy of Noel stamp set was stamped using Real Red ink. Some additional red Festive Pearls were also added.
Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Cathy Proctor.
If at any time you find a broken link please head to the blog of our host for this week, the lovely Sharon Davern and she will have the list of all those participating.
Don’t forget to check back in next week for more Christmas projects. Hope you have a fabulous week ahead!
You have made two gorgeous cards with these beautiful new products, Rosa. I love the scale of the stamped and die-cut greenery, as focal points for both cards. The Distressed Gold Specialty Paper is a lovely choice for the die-cut "NOEL" on your first card, and the DSP and embossing on the second are great details.
