Heart of Christmas 2024 - Week 6

Hello fellow stampers! Welcome back to this week’s Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop. Each week until 25 November 2024 the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create  your own.

One of my favourites (there are many!) from the Mini catalogue is the A Little Bit Festive Speciality Paper. In addition to the patterned paper there are three sheets of die cuts which can be used to quickly make cards or tags and even for scrapbook layouts.

For my card this week I have used both the patterned paper (inside my card) and die cuts. The plaid DSP panel on the front of my card is from the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty DSP and is adhered to the Pool Party Deckled rectangle die cut mat.

The Mistletoe die cut from the specialty paper sheet was adhered to the front with dimensionals. The greeting from the Greetings of the Season stamp set was heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. I then fussy cut the greeting and adhered this in front of the ‘oh so cute’ Pool Party Pompom ribbon.

To finish off the front of the card I adhered some gold Neutrals Adesive-backed Sequins and Garden Green Blooming Pearls.

To the card inner I adhered the DSP mat and a Deckled rectangle mat gold embossed with another greeting from the same stamp set. I also adhered a snowflake die cut.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Christine Blain.

If at any time you find a broken link please head to the blog of our host, the lovely Sharon Davern and she will have the list of all those participating.

Don’t forget to check back next week for more Christmas projects. Hope you have a fabulous week ahead!

Heart of Christmas 2024 - Week 5

Hello fellow stampers! Welcome back to this week’s Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop. Each week until 25 November 2024 the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create  your own.

For this week’s card I have again used several new products from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! September - December Mini catalogue. You will be able to order from this catalogue on Wednesday 4 September

There are many favourites in this new mini catalogue one of them being the Decorative Trees die set. It has some beautiful die cut tree patterns and of course a matching stamp set that I did not use this time.

First, I die cut the Lost Lagoon mat with the ‘snowflake’ tree die. Before die cutting I did adhere a layer of adhesive sheet to the back. This is so that the finely die cut snowflakes can be adhered to the next layer. You end up with the tree shape on your mat layer and the ‘snowflake’ tree die cut.

Next, I inked up the Falling Snow background stamp with VersaMark, stamped the mat layer and then heat embossed with silver Embossing powder. It really looks pretty with the shiny stars.

A layer of White Glimmer specialty paper was adhered behind the embossed panel to add more sparkle! Once in place I finally adhered the ‘snowflake’ tree die cut.

All that’s left is to stamp the Christmas and New Years greeting using Pretty Peacock ink. The stamp set used is Greetings of the Season. The ends were cut on an angle with paper snips and then adhered with dimensionals. I also adhered some silver Adhesive backed Sparkle gems.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Sharon Davern. Sharon is also the host of this blog hop and if you find a broken link please head to Sharons blog and she will have the list of all those participating.
