Hello fellow stampers! I’m very excited to welcome everyone to the very first week of the Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop for 2025! Each week until 24 November 2025 the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create your own.
Stampin’ Up! have released the latest Mini Catalogue (September - December 2025) to demonstrators only and will soon be available to the general public from 3 September! Along with the Mini catalogue release there are additional Online Exclusive items which I have also used this week.
For my cards this week I have used the Modern Christmas DSP - comprised of elegant black, white and gold foil patterned papers. The coordinating stamp and die bundle is Ornamental Christmas and I have stamped a few of the sentiments and images in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. So elegant!
For my first card I have stamped two trees in Memento Black ink and the middle tree and stars were heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. The stamped panel was die cut with a rectangle die from the Textured Notes die set.
The die cut panel was adhered to the starry gold and black DSP and I also die cut another gold star and basket for the middle tree. The ‘basket’ is actually the top of a die cut bauble (also found in the Ornamental Christmas die set). I found the idea to use the bauble top as a tree basket in the sample cards and thought….brilliant! I finished the card with the gold embossed and coordinating black and gold twine.
The second card has a die cut circle from the DSP propped up on dimensionals to give height. The sentiment is from the new Traditional Labels stamp and die bundle from the upcoming Mini catalogue, and has been heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. The sentiment was then die cut with a double banner die. This die cut banner has a slit halfway which I have slid over the bottom of the circle die cut. The top banner is actually hidden behind the circle piece.
To finish the card I fussy cut a holly branch from the DSP and adhered to the front with another bow tied using the Black and Gold Twine.
For my last card I have kept it simple with a thin layer of DSP mounted onto Gold Foil sheet. The sentiment stamped straight onto the card and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder and finished with another bow!
Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Sharon Davern. Sharon is also hosting this blog hop and If at any time you find a broken link she will have the full list of all those participating.
Don’t forget to check back next week for more Christmas projects. Hope you have a fabulous week ahead!
