Hello fellow stampers! Welcome back to this week’s Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop for 2025! Each week until 24 November 2025 the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create your own.
For this week’s inspiration I really wanted to create a card that replicated an arched door decorated with Christmas greenery and wreath. To do this I used the Everyday Arches die set.
The arched door was die cut from Basic White thick card stock. The card base height was measured to the size of the largest sized arch. The width a bit narrower to allow the partial die cutting of the arch. The card base was scored both left and right sides and folded down.
Next I die cut another arch of the same size with the Wood Textured Specialty paper. The arch was cut in half vertically and adhered to the front panels of the card. I did have to trim a bit at the inner sides to compensate for the narrower front width.
Two more arches of the smallest size were die cut from Secret Sea card stock to create ‘windows’ in the doors. The Christmas greenery above the doors has been fussy cut from the Christmas Tags and More mix and match specialty paper. The wreath is a pre-cut image also found in this pack. I have just fussy cut the edges of the wreath.
The sentiment from the Traditional Labels stamp set was stamped with VersaMark on Secret Sea card stock and heat embossed with white WOW! embossing powder. This was fussy cut and adhered onto the greenery. I finished the card with a double bow of White & Gold bakers twine and Gold striped mesh ribbon.
For the card inner I have adhered more arches and fussy cut Christmas baubles. The sentiment is stamped with Real Red ink and is also from the Traditional Labels stamp set.
