Stampin’ Up! Rococo Rose – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 42

Hello everyone hope it's been a great week and notably a short week as we head into the Easter break. How fast has this year gone!!! This week I am using Rococo Rose for the Colour Creations Showcase. Rococo Rose is part of the 2019-21 In Colours and will be retiring in June when the current Stampin' Up! annual catalogue finishes. A dusky pink that is very versatile and coordinates nicely with other colours in their range.

This week I have used the stamps, dies and embossing folder from the Sand and Sea suite which I couldn't wait to play with as it is just gorgeous! So my card base is Rococo Rose overlaid with a piece of Pearlescent Specialty paper which I coloured using Rococo Rose ink and the new blending brushes in the Mini catalogue to give it a pale pink sheen...just beautiful. Once dried (it didn't take long), I used the large die comprised of various shells and seaweed to cut the shape and then emboss using the matching embossing folder in this suite.

The effect is stunning with the raised patterns on the shells and seaweed. Behind this I placed a circle cut from the Stitched Shapes dies in Whisper White and stamped the bubbles in Crumb Cake. The birthday greeting was stamped in Rococo Rose ink onto Blushing Bride card stock and cut using the die from Tasteful Labels set.

Behind the greeting I have added some Linen thread which has been plaited to give it a rope-like effect. And then popped some Opal Rounds to the card base to provide a little bling. The card has also been stamped on the inside with another greeting and the pretty shells in Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride, and the starfish in Crumb Cake inks.

Stampin’ Up! Real Red – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 40

Hello to everyone and Happy St. Patrick's day ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€ My husbands family came from Ireland and migrated to Australia and so he is quite proud of his Irish heritage. But this week's colour doesn't have much to do with Ireland and St. Patrick and instead we are celebrating Real Red for the AWH team showcase.

Real Red is from the Regals colour family and it is a bright red that is quite often used in Christmas card designs. This week I have been inspired to create a strong and feminine looking card.

The Whisper White base card stock was embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing folder and then layered with a rectangular piece of True Love DSP that has been cut from the Rectangle Stitches Framelit dies using the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine.

The Whisper White square layer was cut using Stitched Shapes dies and hand stamped with the floral stamps from Dressed to Impress stamp set. This stamp set has been used for all the items on the front of the card and it also has a matching die set which I did not have on hand so I ended up fussy cutting these shapes.

The flowers were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured using Stampin' Blends in both Light and Dark Real Red colours to give some variety. The lipstick and shoes are stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends Light and Dark Real Red, Light and Dark So Saffron and Dark Basic Black. The highlights were achieved using the Colour Lifter and I have coloured the leaves on the roses using Light and Dark Mint Macaron.

The greeting is stamped with Versa Mark on Basic Black card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder and then fussy cut and attached with a dimensional. There is also a
Mother's Day greeting in this stamp set which will likely get some use soon!

The True Love DSP that was left over after cutting the rectangular frame was used for the inside of the card and decorated with additional roses. The greeting from the Friends are like Seashells stamp set is stamped inside with Real Red ink.

I am making some more note cards using the Dressed to Impress stamp set in softer pinks and purples to give to a special group of friends at a catch-up this weekend.

Stampin’ Up! Purple Posy – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 39

Hello everyone, I'm back for another week for the Art With Heart Teams Colour Creations Showcase using Purple Posy. This colour is such a lovely soft purple/lilac and so feminine so I really love it. The cardstock is available but Stampin' Up! have decided not to produce the ink colour due to it not meeting their quality standards. Purple Posy goes very nicely with the another shade of purple which is Highland Heather and that I have used for my card today.

For this card the base card is Purple Posy, layered with Old Olive and then  Hydrangea Hill DSP.  It has some lovely colours including the purple tones as well as soft blues. The hydrangea flower posy was also fussy cut from this DSP and I have added leaves using dies from the Forever Fern and Magnolia Memory bundles in Highland Heather and Old Olive cardstock.

The birthday greeting is from the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle, which I can't wait to play with next (hopefully!), and stamped in Highland Heather ink colour. It was then cut using a die from Tasteful Labels set. That stamp set and the Hydrangea Hill DSP are both found in the January - June Mini Catalogue.

To finish I added some Gorgeous Grape Sheer ribbon tied with Whisper White Twine which are both found in the Mini Catalogue.  I have also added some Opal Rounds to the card for some sparkle as these have opalescent glitter through them.

Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 38

Hi everyone I'm back for another week joining the AWH Colour Creations showcase and this week our chosen colour is Pumpkin Pie. As the name suggests it is similar in colour to pumpkin flesh! I always thought it was a dull orange but working with it this week the colour is brighter and can also be used in a citrus theme.

As we head into Autumn in the Southern hemisphere I have used this as a colour combo inspiration for my first card. The long slimline card base in Whisper White measures 21cm x 10.5cm folded and will fit into a business size envelope. The ink colours I have used are Pumpkin Pie, Bumble Bee and Cinnamon Cider to stamp the leaves onto Whisper White and are from the Forever Fern stamp set in the Annual Catalogue, definitely a firm favourite!

The birthday greeting is from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set and stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink on Whisper White card stock and then mounted onto Pumpkin Pie card stock. I have then mounted this onto a black and white piece of True Love DSP just to offset the muted Autumn colours. Another strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock is adhered behind this, placed onto dimensionals and layered onto the stamped card and Pumpkin Pie card stock base. I wanted to keep the card pretty basic to include just simple stamping with a greeting attached.

And as the Northern hemisphere heads into Spring, I wanted to show the use of Pumpkin Pie in a more brighter colour combination with my second card. So I have used Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight colours.

The stamp set used is Cute Fruit for both the fruit images and the sentiment. Some of the fruit was stamped onto a square Whisper White cardstock and others were fussy cut. This was adhered to a Pumpkin Pie card stock that was cut using a perforated square die cut from the Snail Dies.

And the sentiment stamped and cut into pieces and along with the other bits, were adhered with dimensionals to a piece of Oh So Ombre DSP from the Sale-a-bration promotion that had just finished last weekend. So if you were lucky enough to obtain the free item I'm sure that you will be able to use this paper in many ways.
