Stampin’ Up! Soft Sea Foam – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 49

Welcome everyone to this week's Colour Creations Showcase and ink colour Soft Sea Foam, a pale green and another colour from the Subtles family - same as last weeks So Saffron. When I see Soft Sea Foam I often think of natural and organic colours and textures and so have used this as an inspiration for my card this week.

The vase is punched out using the Jar punch in Soft Sea Foam card stock and then run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine using one of the Greenery embossing folders (this comes in a set of two smaller sized folders). This gives a slightly raised pattern on the vase. I have added some of the gorgeously new Soft Succulent open weave ribbon at the rim of the 'vase'.

The various greenery and flowers were cut from dies in the Pierced Blooms and Poinsettia sets using Basic White, Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent card stock colours and Assorted DSP.

Lastly, the sentiment has been stamped and die cut using the Art Gallery bundle. I have used Soft Succulent ink colour here as I did not have Soft Sea Foam ink to play around with this week. At the bottom I have stamped some inky spots in Crumb Cake using a stamp from the Forever Fern set.

Stampin’ Up! So Saffron – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 48

Hello everyone! I hope that some of you got to enjoy Mother's Day with your loved ones last weekend. I did get a lovely homemade breakfast of poached egg on toast with spinach, herbs and mini Roma tomatoes (my fave) but spent the day quietly recovering from a head cold.

Feeling much better now and would love to welcome you to another week of the Colour Creations Showcase where this week we look at So Saffron. This is a soft yellow from the Subtles colour family.

The card created this week is fairly quick and simple where I have used layers of different DSP in So Saffron, Basic Black and Basic White. Three layers in different widths adhered to the card stock base. The DSP include Subtles 2021-22 Assortment and True Love. When I saw the True Love DSP with the daisy print it inspired me to add the daisies made from Pierced Blooms dies. Each daisy is comprised of two petal shapes and the flower centre all adhered with glue dots.

Last week I had received some of my Stampin' Up! order with items from the new annual catalogue and so wanted to work with the Simply Elegant Suite. The greeting is from the Elegantly Said stamp set in this suite and has been stamped in VersaMark on Basic Black and then heat embossed with White embossing powder. The greeting was then punched out with the Elegant Tag punch and adhered with dimensionals to the DSP layer. I can't wait to play with the rest of the suite especially with the gorgeous and very elegant DSP!

Just wanted to show the inside of the card where I have added thin layers of the same DSP but this time I have coloured some of the daisies with the So Saffron Stampin' Blends.

Thank you so much for stopping by this week and for more inspiration from the other lovely ladies you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead, stay healthy and happy!

Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate – AWH Colour Creations Showcase Week 47

A warm welcome to everybody as we showcase another Stampin' Up! ink colour as part of the Colour Creations Showcase. And for this week it is Smoky Slate, the lightest and soft gray in the colour families. A colour that is probably most often used as a neutral partner to other colours.

And as Mother's Day approaches on Sunday 9th May, I have made another card this week using Smoky Slate card stock as base and a gray layer from the In Good Taste DSP. This DSP has been a very very popular patterned paper that will continue into the new Stampin' Up! 2021-22 catalogue. And just a reminder the new catty is now available - so very exciting!

The flowers have been stamped and cut from the Art Gallery bundle in So Saffron and Bumblebee inks, shades of yellow that complement the Smoky Slate nicely I think. The flower stems have been stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. These have been adhered using dimensionals to a Champagne foil sheet cut with Stitched So Sweetly die.

To finish off, I have used the 'happy' greeting from the Well Written die set (now retired). I thought I would use it one last time before I get stuck into some new goodies from the new catty! This set has greetings to suit numerous occasions. The 'Mother's Day' greeting is from the Dressed to Impress stamp set which I have also used previously and will be continuing with the new catty too. Bumblebee card stock and ink have been used for both of these greetings.

I have tied a double bow using Whisper White twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack (from January-June Mini Catalogue) and adhered to the stem with a Glue dot. Lastly, I added some Gold Glitter Enamel dots to the floral centres and some sparkle to the card!

I hope you've enjoyed this weeks cards and for more inspiration from the other lovely ladies you can hop over to Cathy Proctor's blog. Thanks again for stopping by and wishing all those lovely mothers, grandmothers and significant ladies out there a most enjoyable day on Sunday and hoping you get pampered and of course, receive some beautiful cards! 🌹

Stampin' Up! Mothers Day with Art Gallery bundle

Happy Monday everyone! I thought I would start the week off with a card for Mother's Day as it is fast approaching. The Art Gallery bundle from Stampin' Up! has some lovely painterly flowers which I love to use especially with a range of colour inks offered by Stampin' Up!

The ink colours I have used on this card include Rococo Rose for the two-stamp flower where I have stamped once for the first stamp and then stamped once off for the second stamp to provide 2 shades of the same ink colour.

The leaves are from a variety of die and stamp sets in Mint Macaron, Just Jade and Garden Green card stock and ink colours. I have used Forever Fern stamp set and Forever Flourishing dies for several leaves together with dies from Pierced Blooms and Nature's Thoughts sets as well.

The smaller flowers are also from the Pierced Blooms die set. All these will be continuing to the new Stampin' Up! 2021-22 catalogue which is available from 4th May this week! Please keep an eye out for it and I'm sure you won't be disappointed in some of the new products being offered.

The card base is Flirty Flamingo card stock and a Basic White layer that has been embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder (retiring soon). I have then added three layers of 2021-22 DSP Assortments in Mint Macaron that have been cut using Stitched Rectangles dies. The Mother's Day greeting is from the Dressed to Impress stamp set in Rococo Rose ink which is a retiring ink when the current catty ends tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to catch you on Wednesday for the AWH Team Colour Creations Showcase and the colour Smoky Slate. Have a great week ahead!
