Hello everyone! I’m so glad that I have managed to participate in this weeks Colour Creations blog hop where we showcase a different Stampin’ Up! colour every week. I’ve been busy just trying to keep up with the Christmas blog hop that started in July but I guess this fifth lockdown has given me a bit more crafting time.
This week it is Cajun Craze from the Regals colour collection and a colour that I very rarely use. Luckily Stampin’ Up! have several coordinating DSPs in the 2021-22 Annual catalogue which helped and gave me the opportunity to use In the Wild DSP. If you love the big cats and the jungle look this is the paper for you! And the DSP is currently on sale with 15% off too so an extra bonus!
The Basic Black card stock base has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and I have layered strips of DSP and a rectangle layer cut using Rectangle Stitched dies. The tiger and greenery have been fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals.
The ‘Wild’ letters were cut from the Playful Alphabet die set onto adhesive sheets to make it easier to adhere to the card stock. The birthday sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set is stamped in Cajun Craze ink and fussy cut. It was such a simple and quick card to make.
Thank you so much for stopping by this week and hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop and find more inspiration from the next participant Michele Taylor
If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the full list of participants on Catherine Proctor’s blog.
Have a great week ahead and I know I will be bunkering down as we head into a cold spell unlike the other side of the world where other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are sweltering in heatwaves!
Great work with this polarising colour, Rosa! The die-cut "WILD" looks fab using that paper, and your fussy cut sentiment is awesome ... hard to believe you did that by hand!
ReplyDeleteRosa, you and Christine are both channeling the same creative genius to create those wonderful patterned letters and they are simply perfect on your jungle cat card. Dare I say, it is a roaring success!
ReplyDeleteYour Cajun Craze tiger looks very fierce! Your jungle-theme card is wildly fabulous!
ReplyDeleteA “wild” card Rosa. Love it. Love the way you have showcased a couple of the In the Wild DSP designs with the “big cat”. Great fussy cutting and love the various subtle details. Xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat use of Cajun Craze for your wild themed card Rosa. I really like how you have done the die cut letters.
ReplyDeleteYes, Rosa, I love your Jungle card. Your tiger is fabulous and the die cut letters in the DSP are awesome. I love how you added the strips behind the DSP to mimic the stripes!
ReplyDeleteNot only is this a great card showcasing Cajun Craze, but also the DSP, Rosa. Those jungle colours just ‘pop’ off the Basic Black card base.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Rosa, I love the jungle theme.
ReplyDeleteI admire anyone who can fussy cut so well. It's something I avoid! Well done. A lovely bold card.
ReplyDeleteYou've showcased cajun craze really well. It pops extremely well on basic black.
