Heart of Christmas 2022 - Week 13

Hi and welcome everyone to Week 13 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop. I’m hopping along with fellow demonstrators on the Art With Heart team to showcase some wonderful Christmas projects every week until the end of November.

As we head into spring here in Melbourne it still feels like winter with cold days below 16oC and even a hailstorm that turned our front lawn white! I think the flowers are a bit confused too!

The cold spell has inspired my snowflake card today. I have used the Christmas Lights stamp and die bundle to die cut several snowflakes from the Tahitian Tide 2022-24 In Colour Glimmer paper. The glimmer paper has ombré shading from blue to white so the snowflakes vary in colour.

I adhered the Wonderful Snowflake embellishment to the larger snowflake die cut and to my surprise I found that it sits perfectly on top! I popped a blue Fine Sparkle adhesive backed Gem to the centre of the snowflake. On the back I adhered some Balmy Blue & White double-stitched ribbon.

The large snowflake was adhered to a circle shape die cut from the Storybook Gnomes DSP. Smaller snowflakes were adhered with glue dots and blue adhesive backed sequins added to the centre of each one.

The sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set is stamped with Pacific Point ink on Basic White card stock. This was then die cut using the oval frame from the Fabulous Frames die set. I adhered a few more gems and sequins to the bottom of the card.

The inside of the card is stamped with the Christmas greeting and another snowflake this time stamped and die cut. A strip of the same DSP used on the front is adhered at the bottom.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration, our very generous and talented hostess Sharon Davern.

Thanks for stopping by and here’s to warmer weather around the corner! Have a great week ahead everyone!

  6. Oh I love all your varying shades of blue, Rosa and the softness of the layered snowflakes. I'm so excited about the layering of the wonderful snowflakes because I have just purchased those dies and you've inspired me to layer them after seeing your gorgeous card.

  9. Beautiful card Rosa. All the elements work so well together and I love the addition of the ribbon and the large snowflake diecut from the glimmer paper. Such an unexpected colour choice that works so well.
