Colour Creations - Petal Pink Week 37

Hello and welcome everyone to the Colour Creations blog hop where members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. Tonight’s colour is Petal Pink, This colour sits in the Subtles colour family and so a much paler pink with orangey undertones.

From my recent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator order I managed to pick up some FREE Sale-a-bration products, including the Adorable Owls stamp set! These owls are so cute and allowed me to indulge in a bit of colouring using Stampin’ Blends.

The owls were stamped with Memento Black ink and I have coloured the images using Light and Dark Petal Pink, Bronze, Light Granny Apple Green, Light and Dark Mango Melody and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Up! Blends. The images were then fussy cut and put to one side.

I dry embossed a Petal Pink card stock mat using the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder. I also adhered a strip of Country Gingham DSP to the embossed mat and then adhered both to the Petal Pink card base.

The hearts have been fussy cut from the Country Floral Lane DSP. The soft colours and images are very pretty in this DSP. The hearts were then adhered to Petal Pink card stock and fussy cut again to allow a border around each heart.

The sentiment is from the owl stamp set and has been stamped with Petal Pink ink.

The male owl has a bow tie and I created the female owl by adhering Champagne Rhinestone jewels for her necklace. I also adhered some more Champagne Rhinestones and White Enamel Dot Essentials to the bottom of the card.

The inside sentiment has been stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink on a die cut Deckled Rectangle. This is from another new stamp set Shake a Milkshake in the January to April mini catalogue. I stamped another owl and coloured him with Stampin’ Blends too.

Colour Creations - Pear Pizzazz Week 36

Hello and welcome everyone to the Colour Creations blog hop where members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. Tonight’s colour is Pear Pizzazz, This colour sits in the Subtles colour family, a subtle mid green.

I have made two cards and both using the Day at the Farm DSP that is available FREE as part of a qualifying purchase during Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration promotion. There is a coordinating stamp and die bundle in the Mini Catalogue that nicely complements the DSP. I have not purchased the bundle as yet but wanted to show that the patterned paper can be used on it’s own to create some cute cards. And it is definitely ideal for scrapbook pages too with a complete farm scene displaying a barn, windmill, pastures, blue sky and of course farm animals on a page.

In my first card I let the DSP do all the work and cut a 28.5cm x 14cm panel, scored at 9.5cm and 19cm. This was folded and adhered to a 10.5cm x 15cm Pear Pizzazz card base. Now it’s ready to just add sentiments, other embellishments or fussy cut farm animals. How easy is that?

The sentiments have been stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink using two stamp sets; Simply Fabulous and Something Fancy, the latter from the new Mini. I die cut the sentiments using matching dies to the Something Fancy stamp set. I also adhered a scalloped circle die cut behind the front panel to prompt the card receiver to pull and open the card from the left hand side.

My second card is a slimline tri-fold accordion card. The measurements can be found by searching Pinterest. The card base is Pear Pizzazz card stock and I adhered a Day at the Farm DSP layer to each panel. As in my first card I adhered different sentiments and fussy cut images of trees and farm animals.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Pear Pizzazz inspiration from the next participant, the very talented Di Furniss.

Colour Creations - Pale Papaya Week 35

Hello fellow stampers! It’s another week of the Colour Creations blog hop where members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. Tonight’s colour is Pale Papaya, one of the 2021-23 In Colours.

I have not used this colour much in my cards probably because it is a pale colour that can get lost. But my eye was taken by a DSP pack in the newest Stampin’ Up! January-April Mini catalogue and I just had to play around with it. It’s the Delicate Desert DSP. There are some pretty and calming desert scenes and colours in this pack.

To start with, I cut a DSP panel measuring 13cm x 9.5cm and stamped the mountain images using Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral (stamped off once) and Pale Papaya inks. The other stamped images include the moon and bird stamps from the Mountain Air set from the Annual Catalogue. This stamped panel was then cut into four strips of different heights, 4.5cm, 3.0cm, 2.5cm and 2.0cm.

The strips were adhered evenly to a second DSP layer (Cajun Craze) and the panel then adhered to the Pale Papaya card base. The sentiment from the Simply Fabulous stamp set was inked with VersaMark onto Basic Black card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. I then fussy cut the sentiment.

Before adhering the sentiment I wanted to add more strips of something to anchor the sentiment which ended up being a strip of fringing using the Cajun Craze DSP. I think it looks kinda cute! A number of 2021-23 Pale Papaya Opal Rounds were added to the card to make it sparkle a bit more.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Pale Papaya inspiration from the next participant, our blog hostess, the very talented Catherine Proctor

Colour Creations - Pacific Point

Hi and a Happy New Year to everyone! I’m excited to welcome you back to Week 34 of the Colour Creations blog hop where members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. Tonight’s colour is Pacific Point. Part of the Brights Collection it is a bright deep blue and for this reason I have toned it down using ink wash on Watercolour paper.

The two cards feature new products from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue (January-April 2023). This catalogue will be available to everyone from 5 January 2023. In addition, a new Sale-a-bration period begins with some lovely freebies available with a minimum spend ($90 AUD).

The products used for both cards include the  Framed Florets stamp and die bundle and Fancy Flora DSP (6” x 6”).

I started by stamping several flowers using the different florals from the Framed Florets stamp set onto Fluid 100 watercolour paper. I have coloured the flowers using Pacific Point and Orchid Oasis (a blue-purple) inks and a Water Painter brush. Once dried the watercoloured flowers were die cut and set aside.

For my first card I adhered a DSP panel to the Basic White card base with a thin border of Pacific Point card stock. The DSP layer has both Balmy Blue and Orchid Oasis colours that coordinates nicely with the paler watered down Pacific Point ink.

The sentiment from the Framed Florets stamp set has been stamped in Pacific Point ink on Basic White card stock and then die cut using one of the frame dies in the Fabulous  Frames die set.

The flowers and stems/leaves were adhered with dimensionals along the plain side. Each flower has a Pacific Point Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed gem adhered to it.

Inside the card

My second card has a Pacific Point card base to which I adhered a Basic White die cut panel using the pretty heart framed die. This die cuts out the heart shapes and I then used a second oval die to cut out the middle frame. I used the same oval die to cut from the DSP and adhered the DSP oval shape to the card centre.

The sentiment from the same stamp set is stamped with Pacific Point ink and die cut using a die from Tailored Made Tags die set.

To finish I have added more Pacific Point Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed gems and a double bow in silver Elegant trim.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Pacific Point inspiration from the next participant, the very talented Amie McIllroy.
