Hi everyone! Welcome to Week 49 (second last before the new catalogue starts!) of the Colour Creations blog hop. Team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. Tonight’s colour is Soft Succulent, a soon to be retiring 2021-23 In Colour.
I will be really sorry to see this colour retire as I love how soft it is and certainly great for foliage images.
I’m happy to be back hopping along to this colour challenge and to make up for some missed weeks I’ve made three cards tonight!
Card 1
I couldn’t wait to play with the Classic Letters stamp set to create this card that I could use for Mother’s Day or birthday. I stamped the letters using Soft Succulent ink and the foliage with Evening Evergreen ink, another colour that will be retiring.
I started with Calypso Coral card base and adhered Soft Succulent card stock and then a layer of the Fancy Flora DSP that has both colours in the print.
The stamped letters were die cut using the Something Fancy die set that has three sizes of this particular shaped label. I’ve used the small and medium sized dies. The labels are adhered with dimensionals to the DSP.
The stamped floral spray is from the Easter Bunny stamp set. Love this set and glad you can use it not just for Easter! The spray flowers and leaves have been coloured using Stampin’ Blends and were then fussy cut.
Card 2
I’ve used the same DSP and the Online Exclusive die set Elegant Borders. There are four different border dies in this set. I have used another one in my next card.
Two equal strips of Soft Succulent card stock have been die cut. To finish off the card I adhered some Brushed Brass Butterflies .
Card 3
As mentioned I’ve used a fancier border die for this card and leftover DSP layer from the previous card.
Behind the label I have added the Evening Evergreen Windowpane Checked ribbon to which I’ve tied some Sahara Sand ribbon and Linen Thread.
Some Festive Pearls have also been added.
Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Soft Succulent inspiration from the very talented Caroline Manwaring.

Rosa, all your cards are great but I really love the mum card, especially your use of the Something Fancy dies and the floral sprays from the Easter bunny stamp set.
ReplyDeleteThree gorgeous cards Rosa. Beautiful use of the Fancy Flora DSP. I love the way you have combined it with the On-line Elegant Borders dies. I adore your use of the Classic Letters with the little leaves. x
ReplyDeleteOh Rosa, you have outdone yourself. These cards are just beautiful! I love how you have used this DSP. Each card is just so lovely and I couldn't pick a favourite from any of them, they are all equally lovely.
ReplyDelete3 beautiful cards Rosa, Those border dies really are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous Rosa. I think we should bombard the sand box with requests ro Soft Succulent to return.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of products, Rosa. The Classic Letters stamp set is used beautifully with the added leaf image over the top. Those border dies look great too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great illustration of how you can use the same DSP to create cards for different occasions.
