Colour Creations Summer Splash - Week 5

Hello fellow crafters! Welcome to the Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday.

Tonight’s colour is the last of the new In Colours 2024-26 and it is Summer Splash! A lovely fresh and bright blue perfect for some summer fun during Melbourne’s chilly autumn days.

I LOVE Summer Splash paired with another new In Colour Petunia Pop. These two colours are also reflected in the Unbounded Beauty DSP layer adhered to the Summer Splash card base.

The center panel is a piece of Fluid 100 watercolour paper stamped with VersaMark using an image from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and heat embossed with White embossing powder. I then wet the stamped panel with the wide Water Painter brush and applied ink colours Summer Splash, Shy Shamrock and Petunia Pop. The panel was dried using the heat tool.

On the bottom DSP layer a piece of White Diagonal trim was added before adhering the cropped watercoloured panel using dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Country Birdhouse stamp set was stamped with VersaMark onto Summer Splash card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. It was die cut using the Perennial Postage die set.

A paper Butterfly accent was sponged with Summer Splash ink using a small Blending Brush and adhered with a glue dot.

The card inner has a Summer Splash DSP base with a Basic White ‘postage’ die cut panel and sentiment stamped using Petunia Pop ink. The floral sprig is the same as the front panel but stamped using Summer Splash ink.

To finish the card I adhered some 2024-26 In Colour Resin Dots.

Colour Creations Peach Pie - Week 1

Hello fellow crafters! Welcome to the first day of the new Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue 2024-25! I am participating in the Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday.

Over the next five weeks we will showcase the new In Colours 2024-26 and kick-starting the colour hop will be Peach Pie! And it’s a very peachy colour too. What I do love about this colour and the other new In Colours is that they are a gorgeous bright combination that remind me of gelato colours.

For this week’s card I am also using some new products from the annual catalogue including the Country Birdhouse stamp and die bundle. The other item is the DSP that is part of the Country Woods Suite. They are Country Woods DSP and Country Lace DSP.

The birdhouse pieces were die cut from the above DSP in addition to Peach Pie card stock for some of the flowers and the birdhouse trim.

These die cuts were adhered with dimensionals to raise them up from.the card base.

The sentiment was stamped using Basic Gray ink. I have also placed some 2024-26 In Color Resin Dots to the flower centres.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Peach Pie inspiration from the very talented Ros Davidson.

Colour Creations Smoky Slate - Week 46

Hello fellow crafters! This week I am participating in the 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Smoky Slate, the softest gray in the Stampin’ Up! Neutrals colour family.

This week I’ve (slightly) stepped out of my comfort zone and created a card with blending, sponging and splatters! To begin with I dry embossed Smoky Slate card stock using the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder.

After embossing the Smoky Slate layer I gently rubbed the Whisper White ink pad over the raised floral pattern. Next I added my splatters or should I say I practiced a few splatters on my paper pad using Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends and flicking the pen against the lid. As it’s my first go at flicking ink I was being very cautious and trying not to flood the paper .

The lovely white paper butterflies were inked with a water painter brush and Smoky Slate, Moody Mauve and Berry Burst inks. And then I added more splatters to the butterflies too! I guess I got a bit excited with this technique.

Working on my layers I die cut leafy elements using the Notes of Nature and Thoughtful Expressions die sets and Basic White, Moody Mauve and Berry Burst card stock. The sentiment from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set has been stamped with VersaMark and White embossing powder.

Before adhering the sentiment to the card base I adhered the Silver and White Sheer ribbon. To finish off my card I adhered silver Neutral adhesive sequins and silver Festive pearls, both to be retiring soon,

On the card inner I adhered the sentiment onto Berry Burst die cut labels using dies from the Thoughtful Expressions die set. The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set and stamped in Berry Burst and the floral sprig in Smoky Slate inks.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Smoky Slate inspiration from the very talented Kate Morgan.

Colour Creations Shaded Spruce - Week 45

Hello fellow crafters! This week I am participating in the 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Shaded Spruce, a darker green found in the Regals colour family.

For this week I created two cards with a focus on using the Perennial Lavender DSP.

The first card has a Shaded Spruce card stock base layered with a Highland Heather mat to which I have adhered two DSP panels. The scalloped border and polka dot natural ribbon were adhered to cover the paper join.

The Hummingbird was stamped onto Basic White and coloured with light and dark Stampin’ Blends inks in Shaded Spruce, Lost Lagoon and Highland Heather. It was die cut and adhered with dimensionals. The stamp and die bundle is Thoughtful Expressions.

The sentiment from the Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

My second card is much simpler with a full DSP layer adhered to a Shaded Spruce mat and Lost Lagoon card-stock base.

The sentiment on this card is also from the same stamp set.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Shaded Spruce inspiration from the very talented Theresa Gerrard.

Colour Creations Pumpkin Pie - Week 43

Hello fellow crafters! This week I am participating in the 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Pumpkin Pie, the only orange in the colour families.

For this week’s card i have paired Pumpkin Pie  with Pool Party, inspired by the colours in the Zoo Crew DSP from the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue 2023-24.

My other go to favourite die set at the moment is the Perennial Postage die set. I have used them to die cut the cute fox on the scooter from the Zoo Crew DSP, along with the Inked Botanicals DSP layer that was adhered with dimensionals to the Pool Party mat layer.

Raising the DSP layer adds even more dimension to the card. Before adhering the fox panel I tore some Masterfully Made DSP with orange and yellow tones.

Both sentiments have been stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink. The sentiments are from the Perennial Postage and So Sincere stamp sets. Some Assorted Glossy Dots were adhered to finish off the card.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Pretty Peacock inspiration from the very talented Sharon Davern
