Colour Creations Shaded Spruce - Week 45

Hello fellow crafters! This week I am participating in the 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Shaded Spruce, a darker green found in the Regals colour family.

For this week I created two cards with a focus on using the Perennial Lavender DSP.

The first card has a Shaded Spruce card stock base layered with a Highland Heather mat to which I have adhered two DSP panels. The scalloped border and polka dot natural ribbon were adhered to cover the paper join.

The Hummingbird was stamped onto Basic White and coloured with light and dark Stampin’ Blends inks in Shaded Spruce, Lost Lagoon and Highland Heather. It was die cut and adhered with dimensionals. The stamp and die bundle is Thoughtful Expressions.

The sentiment from the Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

My second card is much simpler with a full DSP layer adhered to a Shaded Spruce mat and Lost Lagoon card-stock base.

The sentiment on this card is also from the same stamp set.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Shaded Spruce inspiration from the very talented Theresa Gerrard.

If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the full list of participants on Cathy Proctor blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week. Happy crafting!

  1. Wow - the hummingbirds look spectacular in those colours, Rosa. Your colouring is beautiful; I thought they were watercoloured! Both cards are gorgeous, but my favourite is the first one. I'm rather partial to scallops, and just love all the details.

  8. I'm quite surprised how different (and good) the lavender paper looks with Shaded Spruce. I love that extra detail you've added with the scalloped border behind the ribbon.
