CCBH Garden Green - Week 18

Hello everyone! It’s the Art With Heart team  blog hop and
tonight’s colour is Garden Green. This colour sits in the Regals colour family and it’s a mid-green.

Apart from the obvious Christmas themed cards it’s also great with the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP which I have used in my card.

The one stamp set that called to me when I thought of Garden Green is the very cute set Turtle Friends. I just had to do the green turtles with the foliage in the DSP.

To my Basic White card base and Smoky Slate mat I have adhered the gray brick wall first then the light brown bricked paper. This layer was scored twice on either end at 1/4 inch to enable it to be slightly open so that I could slot the plant stems behind the wall.

The plant stems were fussy cut from the DSP and adhered with dimensionals on the top half leaves.

The cute turtles were stamped with both Memento Black ink and Garden Green for the baby turtles. They were then coloured with Stampin’ Blends using Light and Dark Smoky Slate and Dark Mint Macaron. The shell of the adult turtle was stamped on Garden Green card stock with the same ink.

The party hats were stamped on Basic White card stock with Memento black ink and coloured with a brighter Granny Apple Green. They were fussy cut and adhered onto my card.

The inside of the is decorated with a strip of DSP and another stamped turtle with the sentiment in Garden Green ink.

Heart of Christmas - Week 13

Hi and welcome! It’s Monday night and another Heart of Christmas team blog hop. This week I didn’t have much time to prepare which resulted in some quick and simple cards.

This week I have used the Sweet Stockings DSP. Who could not resist the cute creatures in this DSP? If you or someone you know is a dog or cat lover then the Sweet Stockings suite collection would be ideal for creating cards for Christmas or other event.

For my first card the DSP layer has been cut using a rectangle die from Stitched Rectangles die set which is a staple product for many projects.

I have fussy cut the two dogs from the DSP and adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment had been created for a previous project and adhered to the DSP layer. It is from Holly Jolly Wishes and stamped in VersaMark and then heat embossed with White embossing powder.

I added some White Organdy glitter ribbon and that’s it, card is done and oh so cute!

In my second card I have fussy cut more creatures from another piece of DSP, these were smaller or miniature sized cuties.

Another rectangle DSP layer has been adhered with the creatures popped up on dimensionals. The greetings from the Peaceful Deer stamp set are stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.

Please head on to the next participant for more inspiration if you haven’t already done so, the very talented Tina Gillespie

CCBH Flirty Flamingo - Week 17

Hello everybody! Welcome to tonight’s Colour Creations blog hop and this week it is Flirty Flamingo. It is a bright pinky-orangey type of colour.

I have created two very different cards this week and decided to play around with the Artistically Inked stamp and die bundle.

The first card is just a Basic Black card base and mat. The intricate die is cut using the Artistic die and Basic White card stock and then coloured with inks and blending brushes. I have used ink colours: Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight.

I adhered the floral die cut with Multipurpose Liquid glue to the mat. The sentiment from the new Delicate Dahlias stamp set is stamped with VersaMark onto Flirty Flamingo card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. It is then cut using a Stitched Rectangle die.

This stamp set is a FREE Sale-a-bration item with a minimum spend of $A180 but the promotion will end shortly on 30 September. I’m looking forward to putting in another order before it does end. Oh and of course I have added some sequins from the Ephemera pack.

This next card uses the watercolour stamp from the Artistically Inked set. I have been wanting to play with this set for awhile.

The card base is Basic White and layered with a Misty Moonlight mat that was dry embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.

The stamped panel was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die and stamped with Flirty Flamingo and Misty Moonlight inks. I wasn’t sure how they would go together but I think it looks okay!

This panel was adhered to the base and embossed mat. I have used the Tailored Tag punch on the Sweet Symmetry DSP for the tag shapes. The sentiment is again from the Delicate Dahlias set and embossed as previously.

The words have been fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals onto the punched shapes. I thought as the panel was busy I didn’t think it needed further embellishments but looking at it again you could add twine or some gems or sequins. I think it’s a crafters dilemma…”to embellish or not to embellish” LOL.

Heart of Christmas - Week 12

Hi and welcome! We are in Week 12 for the Heart of Christmas blog hop where Art with Heart team members will showcase their creations every week until the big day!

This week I have used Designer Speciality Papers from Painted Christmas set in the July-December 2021 mini catalogue. The designs include fir cones and branches, Holly berries with leafy branches as well as single patterns of either leaves or berries only

For the first card I have used Cherry Cobbler base layered with the gorgeous berry print. I used the large die from Encircled in Beauty to cut a Red Foil layer and adhered the sentiment using dimensionals.

A while ago I had made a whole lot of the sentiment in different ink and card stock colours and so just reached into my stash and add to the card.

My second card has an Evening Evergreen base and rectangle layer alternating with the DSP print.

The layered rectangles were die cut with the Stitched Rectangles set. I have wrapped the Real Red Sheer ribbon around this panel.

The letters have been cut using Playful Alphabet die set and Brushed Metallic card stock that was adhered to an adhesive sheet. This makes it so much easier to adhere or you could also use foam sheets if you want the raised look. The letters were then adhered to a Basic White label cut from the In Bloom die set and embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

Heart of Christmas - Week 11

Extending a warm welcome to the start of the week and Week 11’s Christmas creations for the Heart of Christmas blog hop.

It’s been a busy weekend in the garden which started with revamping a small garden bed but morphed into a bigger clean up of other garden areas. I did manage to make three cards that I have been wanting to make using the Whimsy and Wonder DSP.

I apologise for the lack of instructions in this post but I’m still feeling the effects of the weekend so it will be a short post but with lots pictures!

Card 1: I have fussy cut the presents from the DSP and arranged in a Christmas tree shape with the star from the Wise Men Tidings die set adhered to a layer of DSP and Blushing Bride card stock. A Polished Pink In Colour jewel has been added to the star.
