Apart from the obvious Christmas themed cards it’s also great with the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP which I have used in my card.
The one stamp set that called to me when I thought of Garden Green is the very cute set Turtle Friends. I just had to do the green turtles with the foliage in the DSP.
To my Basic White card base and Smoky Slate mat I have adhered the gray brick wall first then the light brown bricked paper. This layer was scored twice on either end at 1/4 inch to enable it to be slightly open so that I could slot the plant stems behind the wall.
The plant stems were fussy cut from the DSP and adhered with dimensionals on the top half leaves.
The cute turtles were stamped with both Memento Black ink and Garden Green for the baby turtles. They were then coloured with Stampin’ Blends using Light and Dark Smoky Slate and Dark Mint Macaron. The shell of the adult turtle was stamped on Garden Green card stock with the same ink.
The party hats were stamped on Basic White card stock with Memento black ink and coloured with a brighter Granny Apple Green. They were fussy cut and adhered onto my card.
The inside of the is decorated with a strip of DSP and another stamped turtle with the sentiment in Garden Green ink.

Such a clever, imaginative, design, Rosa! This is a really fun card that would put a smile on anyone's face. I like the way you created a space for the plants to be tucked into ... it looks like a planter box. The party hats are a fun and festive addition to your fantastic card. Great showcasing of Garden Green!
ReplyDeleteOn my goodness, Rosa, this is such a clever use of the turtle set to combine it with the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP. Yout turtles make me smile and I love your planter box!
