Heart of Christmas - Week 17

Hello fellow crafters! Welcome to Week 17 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop. Hope everyone is getting some Christmas card inspiration by hopping along the last few months. I look so forward to seeing everyone’s creations each week!

I have another two cards this week using a mix of products from different sets. The first card has a Basic Gray base layered with Smoky Slate card stock and Peaceful Place DSP. The reindeer has been punched using the Deer builder punch.

Close up below of the reindeer punched from Black Glitter specialty paper. The reindeer is adhered with dimensionals to a Wonderful Snowflake foil cut piece with some Black and White Gingham ribbon adhered behind this.

The front sentiment is stamped with Memento Black ink onto Smoky Slate card stock and is from Poinsettia Petals stamp set. I have used the Lovely Labels punch. And some Subtle Glimmer sequins to finish off.

The inside sentiment is from Encircled in Warmth stamp set and stamped in Basic Gray ink. The border is die cut using the zigzag die from Basic Borders set in Smoky Slate and DSP.

For my second card I wanted to show that you can use non-Christmas DSP such as Beauty of the Earth which has various tree images in this set. I have just adhered the DSP layer to Night of Navy card stock base and added the sentiment from my stash. It is from Encircled in Warmth and stamped with VersaMark onto Basic Black card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. I die cut using Encircled in Beauty die set which cuts the circle separately to the filigree outer.

As before I have used the Deer builder punch and Black Glitter paper.

The inside sentiment and deer is stamped in Night of Navy ink.

Heart of Christmas - Week 16

Hi everyone! Welcome to Monday night and the AWHT Heart of Christmas blog hop. Every week the team will showcase Christmas card ideas to help get you started on your own set.

I am continuing to use the Whimsy & Wonder suite from the July to December mini catalogue and have created three cards this week.

The Mint Macaron card stock base of the first card is dry embossed using the Tasteful Textures EF on the front panel. A strip of DSP with the Holly print and foils has been adhered. The bauble image from the Whimsical Trees stamp set has been stamped with Memento Black ink onto Basic White card stock and then coloured with Stampin’ blends in Dark Petal Pink, Light Flirty Flamingo, Light and Dark Mint Macaron and Light Polished Pink. They were then die cut with matching dies.

The greeting is from the Peaceful Deer stamp set and stamped with VersaMark onto Blushing Bride card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

For my second card I have punched the rectangular shapes with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch and adhered with dimensionals to a DSP mat and then the Mossy Meadow card stock base. The sentiment is stamped with VersaMark onto Basic Black card stock and heat embossed with White Embossing powder. To finish off I have added Brushed silver foil stars die cut using the Christmas Trees dies. This is a very quick and easy card to make.

My last card is another very easy one as I wanted to use up the stamped and embossed greetings die cut using the Encircled in Beauty dies mass produced a while ago. I added some of the gorgeous Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain and White Glittered Organdy ribbons and that’s it! Although I will probably add some sequins later on LOL!

CCBH Gorgeous Grape - Week 19

Hello everyone! It’s the Art With Heart team Colour Creations blog hop and tonight’s colour is Gorgeous Grape. This colour sits in the Brights colour family and it’s a deep lovely purple.

I have been wanting to try this particular card design that I have seen several demonstrators make recently. It’s a book binding fold. The card measures 10.5cm x 29.6cm, scored halfway at 14.8cm. I then scored on front panel at 17.8cm.

My card base is Sahara Sand and the panels are DSP Assortment in Gorgeous Grape. The panels were adhered to the base. To the smaller panel I wrapped the White Glittered Organdy ribbon together with Linen thread tied with a bow and tucked the ends to the inside of the card. This panel is adhered to the inside of the card to mimic a bound book cover.

On the larger right panel the Cork Speciality paper in the Mini catalogue has been die cut using the Tasteful Labels set. The sentiment is comprised of two separate greetings from the Artistically Inked and Sweet as a Peach stamp sets and stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on Sahara Sand card stock. I have punched the sentiment using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and adhered some Pastel Pearls in Gorgeous Grape.

The butterflies have been die cut using the Brilliant Wings die set from Shimmery White cards stock to which I applied an ink wash using Gorgeous Grape ink. These have been adhered with a glue dot and embellished with Subtle Shimmer Sequins.

Inside the card the sentiment is from Sweet as a Peach stamp set and stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.

Heart of Christmas - Week 14

Hi and welcome everyone! Thanks for joining the Art With Heart team blog hop celebrating Christmas. It’s week 14 and there are 71 days to Christmas!

Just last week I received my Stampin’ Up! order full of goodies including the Whimsy & Wonder suite. It’s full of non-traditional colours, sparkly foiled paper, iridescent foil snowflakes and gorgeous frayed grosgrain ribbon.

I wasn’t sure how much I would like Christmas cards in Polished Pink but after playing with the DSP in this suite I’ve fallen in love with it.

The card stock base is Polished Pink and has a DSP layer die cut on one side using Basic Borders dies. To this I have adhered a thin silver foil layer at the top.

The middle of the panel has a Wonderful Snowflake adhered using a dimensional. As mentioned above it is iridescent foil which is difficult to see in the photo but nonetheless beautiful in reality.

I have also adhered die cut pieces from the Christmas Trees Dies. These are rather pretty and whimsical as the suite name states! I have cut these from Polished Pink, Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride card stock.

The sentiment is from the Whimsical Trees stamp set in this suite and stamped using Polished Pink Ink on Basic White card stock. I have used the thinnest part of the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. To finish off I have scattered some Subtle Shimmer Sequins adhered with TomBow glue.

I have used the Blushing Bride card stock base in my second card and adhered the snowflake to this. The Christmas trees on this card have been die cut from DSP in this set. The little baubles have been die cut from brushed Silver Foil that has a purplish tinge rather than sparkly silver.

The sentiment has been stamped straight onto the card base. I have also added some of the frayed grosgrain ribbon in Blushing Bride and to finish off I have scattered some Subtle Shimmer Sequins adhered with TomBow glue.
