Hello fellow stampers! Welcome back to another Colour Creations challenge where Pear Pizzazz is this weeks focus colour. A much softer green than the recently showcased Old Olive or Mossy Meadow.
Tonight I am using some more new products from the Stampin’ Up! January to June mini catalogue. The Flowering Tulips stamp and die bundle and matching Flowering Fields DSP. The DSP includes Pear Pizzazz and some beautiful painted tulips and patterns.
I made this tri-fold card with the intent to include a gift card ‘pocket’ for the recipient but did not get to finish for tonight’s blog hop. When I complete the card I will update this post to include the picture.
The front panel was partially die cut with a circle die from Layering Circles die set and then dry embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder to add some texture.
The Tulips have been put together using blended card stock and DSP that was die cut using the Tulips Dies. I wanted a softer natural look rather than using straight card stock. There are several YouTube videos that demonstrate ways of putting together the tulip die cut pieces. I followed the video by US demonstrator Card designs by Tammy but there are many others to guide you.
I used So Saffron and Mango Melody inks to blend Basic White card stock and then die cut the various tulip pieces before adhering together with Liquid adhesive or dimensionals to build my flower.
The sentiment is stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with White embossing powder onto Pear Pizzazz card stock. The sentiment was die cut using the smallest scalloped die from Scalloped Contours die set before adhering with dimensionals to the card.
On the second panel I adhered a DSP layer showing a field of multi-coloured tulips - so pretty and who doesn’t like a field of Tulips? They are one of my favourite flowers because of the variety of colours they come in. The sentiment from the set was heat embossed with white embossing powder as before.
The inside sentiment can be seen here through the circle cutout and the open standing card.
Evening Evergreen Windowpane Checked ribbon. I love the look of this ribbon and it coordinates very nicely with the Tulip products.
And lastly some gorgeous Brushed Brass Butterflies that glisten as if the sun is shining on them!
Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more inspiration from the next participant, the very talented Theresa Gerrard.
If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the full list of participants on Cathy Proctor’s blog.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your week ahead!
