Colour Creations - Basic Gray Week 7

Hello fellow stampers! Welcome to the 2022-23 Colour Creations blog hop where the AWH team will showcase a different Stampin’ Up! colour each week. This weeks colour is Basic Gray which is found in the Neutrals colour family.

I made my card a few weeks ago and used some newly retired products as well as items in the current Last Chance list. I dry embossed  a Basic White mat using the newly retired Macramé 3D EF. Definitely sad to see this one go! I adhered this panel to my card base.

I used the Basic Gray doily from the Heart & Home Doilies set. I adhered some Soft Succulent satin shimmer ribbon to the back of the doily.

I have used the Honeybee Home stamp and die bundle for tonight’s card.
The elements layered on the front of the doily include the following:
  • DSP die cut using a circle die (retired DSP Pansy Petals)
  • Soft Succulent greenery die cut
  • Flowers coloured with Fresh Freesia/Mint Macaron blends and die cut
  • Bees stamped in VersaMark and embossed with Gold embossing powder and die cut
  • Sentiment stamped with Basic Gray ink

To finish I added some retired Opal Rounds and 2021-23 In Colours jewels.

Hope you enjoy the remaining blog hop where you can find more Balmy Blue inspiration from the next participant the very talented Christine Blain.
