Heart of Christmas 2022 - Week 13

Hi and welcome everyone to Week 13 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop. I’m hopping along with fellow demonstrators on the Art With Heart team to showcase some wonderful Christmas projects every week until the end of November.

As we head into spring here in Melbourne it still feels like winter with cold days below 16oC and even a hailstorm that turned our front lawn white! I think the flowers are a bit confused too!

The cold spell has inspired my snowflake card today. I have used the Christmas Lights stamp and die bundle to die cut several snowflakes from the Tahitian Tide 2022-24 In Colour Glimmer paper. The glimmer paper has ombré shading from blue to white so the snowflakes vary in colour.

I adhered the Wonderful Snowflake embellishment to the larger snowflake die cut and to my surprise I found that it sits perfectly on top! I popped a blue Fine Sparkle adhesive backed Gem to the centre of the snowflake. On the back I adhered some Balmy Blue & White double-stitched ribbon.

The large snowflake was adhered to a circle shape die cut from the Storybook Gnomes DSP. Smaller snowflakes were adhered with glue dots and blue adhesive backed sequins added to the centre of each one.

The sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set is stamped with Pacific Point ink on Basic White card stock. This was then die cut using the oval frame from the Fabulous Frames die set. I adhered a few more gems and sequins to the bottom of the card.

The inside of the card is stamped with the Christmas greeting and another snowflake this time stamped and die cut. A strip of the same DSP used on the front is adhered at the bottom.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration, our very generous and talented hostess Sharon Davern.

Thanks for stopping by and here’s to warmer weather around the corner! Have a great week ahead everyone!

Heart of Christmas 2022 - Week 12

Hi fellow crafters! Welcome to the Heart of Christmas blog hop this week. I’m hopping along with fellow demonstrators on the Art With Heart team to showcase some wonderful Christmas projects every week until the end of November. We’re into Week 12!

This weeks card is a fancy fold called a Reverse Easel. The card measures 14.8cm x 10.5cm, scored in the middle at 7.4cm and then 11.1cm. The DSP is called Lights Aglow and the stamp set is Brightest Glow.

The card base is Very Vanilla card stock and the black and gold starry DSP is adhered to the base panel and the top half.

The scalloped DSP panel has been die cut using the Scalloped Contours die set.

I really wanted to incorporate the ‘Happy New Year’ greeting and so this shaped the design of this card so that when you open the card the recipient will be greeted with a happy new year while the front of is a Christmas greeting.

Each greeting was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. They were die cut with a die from the Labels Aglow die set. The greetings were adhered to a die cut circle of Gold Glimmer Specialty paper.

Before adhering the Christmas sentiment I adhered some Elegant Gold trim behind the greeting. I have also added some gold Festive Pearls.

Heart of Christmas 2022 - Week 11

Hi fellow crafters! Welcome to the Heart of Christmas blog hop this week. I’m hopping along with fellow demonstrators on the Art With Heart team to showcase some wonderful Christmas projects every week until the end of November. We’re into Week 11!

This week I have used the Trimming the Tree stamp and die bundle to make three cards and using non-traditional colours. The card stock and ink colours include Blushing Bride and Rose Gold Specialty Paper. The Rose Gold card stock is beautiful especially when embossed.

Each card also has a different dry embossed background using the Merry Melody, Timeworn Type and Gingham embossing folders.

Some of the Christmas trees from the Trimming the Tree stamp set have been stamped using Blushing Bride ink and then die cut with the matching die.

The dainty die cut bows are just beautiful in the Rose Gold card stock. I adhered the copper Brushed metallic dots to the centre of each bow.

Heart of Christmas 2022 - Week 10

Hi fellow crafters! Welcome to the Heart of Christmas blog hop this week. I’m hopping along with fellow demonstrators on the Art With Heart team to showcase some wonderful Christmas projects every week until end of November. We’re into Week 10!

This week I have used the Snowman Magic stamp and die bundle together with the Christmas Lights bundle. My card is a lantern card using Pool Party card base measuring 28cm x 14cm and cut twice. I then scored at 5cm, 14cm and 23cm on the long side for each piece.

For one of the centre panels I have used a rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles die set to cut out the centres. The die size used is nearly the same as that of the snowflake frame die from the Snowman Dies.

Next I also die cut two pieces of the snowflake frame from Basic White card stock. These were adhered to the front of the card base. Then two pieces of the Snowflake Specialty Vellum were die cut with a rectangle die slightly larger than the rectangle cut-out. This was adhered on the inside and behind the snowflake frame.

The side DSP panels are 4.5cm x 13.5cm and adhered to both sides. This DSP is from the Storybook Gnomes collection. I have decorated the panels with the cute Snowman and a Snow lady! The body is die cut from the White Glimmer paper and the other parts from Basic Black card stock and Tahitian Tide glimmer paper.

The snow people were adhered to an oval off cut from the Fabulous Frames oval frame.

The sentiment from the Snowman Magic stamp set has been stamped with VersaMark, embossed with Silver Embossing powder and die cut using a Stitched Rectangle die.

The finished front panel was adhered to the second card base at each side panel so that the opened card creates a central square.

I had die cut two panels using a Deckled Rectangle die and adhered these to the back of the card. The sentiments are stamped with Pool Party and Tahitian Tide inks.

It’s now just waiting for a battery-operated tea light or candle to put inside!

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration our very lovely host for tonight the very talented Sharon DavernIf at any time you find a broken link she will have the list of all those participating.

Thanks for joining the blog hop and wishing you a marvellous week ahead xx
