Heart of Christmas 2023 - Week 4

Hello fellow stampers! Welcome to week 4 of the Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop for 2023! Each week until 27 November the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create your own.

Following last week’s card I have continued to use the Brushed Gold cards & envelopes available from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Mini catalogue from 6 September. You get a pack of 20 card bases and matching envelopes which means I’ll be able to make a few more.

This time I have dry embossed the front of the card base using the Stars at Night hybrid embossing folder. The embossed stars are just beautiful and you get both gold and white stars on the embossed card. For this reason I’ve kept the card simple.

Both sentiments are from the Night Divine stamp set and have been stamped in VersaMark onto the O Holy Night DSP. I then heat embossed with Gold embossing powder and die cut each sentiment with a Deckled Rectangle die.

After adhering the sentiment I added some due cut embellishments such as the shepherd and his sheep to match the sentiment. The dies include a nativity scene and each die adds these beautiful fine details when die cut. To finish off this card I adhered some gold Adhesive-backed Star Trinkets.

For the other card I also added a die cut wreath in Basic White and Holly leaves in Gold Distressed Specialty paper with tiny gold berries. The Holly wreath die can be found in the Saint Nicholas set which I used last week.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Judy May.

Heart of Christmas 2023 - Week 3

Hello fellow stampers! Welcome everyone to our third week of the Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop for 2023! Each week until 27 November the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create your own.

This weeks card features the Brushed Gold cards & envelopes from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Mini catalogue that will be available for purchase from 6 September. These cards and envelopes are perfect for the festive season and would add elegance to your cards.

To the card base I have adhered die cut Deckled rectangle layers of Vellum card stock and the new Joyful specialty DSP.

The flap of the matching envelope is dry embossed using the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder to match the musical notes on the DSP.

The Father Christmas image is from the Saint Nicholas stamp and die bundle and has been stamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. There are two images of a traditional Santa in this stamp set. I have coloured the image using various Stampin’ Blends colours.

The sentiment is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and is from another new stamp set - Night Devine. To finish off my card I’ve tied some Gold Elegant trim and adhered gold Neutral sequins and Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Rachel Woollard.

Colour Creations - Calypso Coral Week 16

Hi fellow crafters! Welcome to this week’s 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Calypso Coral and it is part of the Subtles colour family.

The card I have made is a fancy fold called a Triple fold shutter card. The are a few variations of this fold when I did a search on Pinterest for ideas. I wanted to showcase the lovely prints on DSP from the new upcoming September to December 2023 mini catalogue by Stampin’ Up!. This DSP is called Garden Walk. And of course it contains Calypso Coral!

I have also used Pretty Peacock mats behind the DSP. After trimming all the different layers, it was just a matter of adhering the pieces to the panels of the Calypso Coral card stock base.

As mentioned previously a search on Pinterest will provide you with measurements and instructions on how to score and cut the card base. I started with an A4 sheet cut on the short side at 14.8cm (i.e. normal card width).

Another angle. The sentiment and images are from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set and stamped with Calypso Coral and Pretty Peacock inks.

Heart of Christmas 2023 - Week 2

Hello fellow stampers! Welcome everyone to our second week of the Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop for 2023! Each week until 27 November 2023 the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create your own.

This week I have created two cards to start building my stash of Christmas cards using the Joy of Noel stamp and die bundle.

The fabulous thing about this set is stamping the ‘NOEL’ letters and then using the die to give you individual letters…saves time! In this case I just used the die cut letters from the Distressed Gold specialty paper and adhered a dimensional sheet making it easier to adhere them to the Basic White mat and card base.

The sprig of Holly and other greenery was stamped with Memento Black and coloured with Stampin’ Blends in L&D Real Red, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce.

Some die cut pine leaves in Shaded Spruce was also adhered to the sprig along with a double bow tied using the Gold Elegant trim and Gold and Vanilla satin ribbon. Some Gold Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins and red Festive Pearls were adhered to the card front.

For my second card I’ve stamped and coloured a second Holly sprig and some extra leaves. This time I have used a DSP mat to which an embossed layer using the Timeworn Type EF has been adhered.

The sentiment from the Joy of Noel stamp set was stamped using Real Red ink. Some additional red Festive Pearls were also added.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Cathy Proctor.

Heart of Christmas 2023 - Week 1

Hello fellow stampers! I’m very excited to welcome everyone to the very first week of the Heart of Christmas Stampin’ Up! blog hop for 2023! Each week until 27 November 2023 the Art With Heart team will showcase Christmas cards and projects to inspire you to create  your own.

Stampin’ Up! have released the latest Mini Catalogue (September - December) to demonstrators only and will be made available to the general public from 6 September. While waiting for my first order to arrive with new Christmas bundles I have made a card using Christmas and non-Christmas products from the Annual Catalogue.

The Basic White card base measures 5 inch x 5 inch and the mat layer is 4 3/4 inch x 4 3/4 inch. The mat was die cut using the circular patterned die from Labels Aglow die set. Behind the mat I have adhered a smaller piece of the Soft Shimmer paper combo pack in Berry Burst. It has a lovely fine sparkle to this paper.

The sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set has been stamped with Berry Burst ink and then die cut from the same die set above. The shimmer mat behind the sentiment is the circle die cut centre from the embroidery hoop in the Crafting with You die set but you could use any of the circle dies of similar sizing.

The white Glittered Organdy ribbon was adhered behind the sentiment and only just realised that this had retired! But you could use any other ribbon if you wanted to or leave without the ribbon.

My stars have been die cut from the same shimmer paper in colours of Bubble Bath, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. The star-shaped die is from the Beautiful Balloons die set to show you that non-Christmas products can also be used.

The inside sentiment is also from Brightest Glow stamp set and die cut using the Something Fancy die set along with the mat layer in the Berry Burst shimmer paper. Few more die cut stars were also added.

Please head on to the next participant for more Christmas inspiration the lovely and very talented Caroline Manwaring.

Hi fellow crafters! Welcome to this week’s 2023-24 Colour Creations blog hop where team members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! demonstrators showcase a new colour every Wednesday. This week’s colour is Blueberry Bushel, a rich Royal blue and part of the Regals colour family.

My card tonight features the Crafting with You stamp and die bundle. This bundle is a marvellous one to create cards for all your crafting friends who sew, knit, embroider and make cards of course!

I have dry embossed a DSP layer from the Bright and Beautiful set that includes Blueberry Bushel and other blues in the paper. The embossing folder is Countryside Blossoms.

All the little die cut craft pieces are so cute along with the sentiments. I have used Pecan Pie, Blueberry Bushel and Boho Blue card stock.

Card inside

The Gorgeous Gingham DSP has been used inside and front of the card.
